Huerhuero Vineyard occupies a rolling terrain on the southeast border of Paso Robles, with largely south-facing slopes that reach an elevation of 1,030 feet.  In the north half of the property, vineyards are mostly north and west facing or on flat terrain. This location is a crossroads for marine air entering the region from both the Templeton Gap and Salinas Valley, allowing for long, steady ripening. The soils are shallow, shifting from clay loam to sandy loam, with rocky calcareous subsoils. Standout varietals at Huerhuero Vineyard include Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Syrah, and Verdelho.
