The Wine
The fruit for the Vina Robles Mountain Road Reserve grows on Adelaida Springs Ranch, located at 1,700 feet elevation only 12 miles inland from the Pacific Coast. Situated in the rugged coastal mountains west of Paso Robles, this unique site, with its rocky limestone soils and western exposure, is producing stunning wines.
It is here that the grapes for our award winning Meritage, Suendero, are grown.
This special selection focuses on Cabernet Sauvignon. To achieve a style with more delicate and elegant traits, the wine has been aged for 30 months in 80% new French oak. 20% Petit Verdot from the same vineyard completes the varietal blend.
This complex wine showcases layers of spice and ripe, lingering tannins, giving it the capability for further development of character and finesse with proper cellaring.
